TVU Go

Configure your TVU Go app with built-in IRLToolkit integration

IRLToolkit's new login system / transition period

TVU Go's integration with IRLToolkit uses our new, but still unreleased, login system which will eventually replace the classic login system https://irl.run

While we are transitioning to the new login system,
users wishing to use TVU Go with IRLToolkit will need to contact the @Support Bot in the IRLToolkit Discord or send an email to the IRLToolkit Support Inbox to request their login account be upgraded to an auth account.

This new login system will eventually supersede the classic login system,
but for the duration of the transition you will be able to use either your old login at https://irl.run or the new auth login at https://auth.irltoolkit.com

IRLToolkit Integration

From the main screen of the TVU Go app, tap the + sign at the top to begin adding a new destination.

Scroll down on the destination type list until you see IRLToolkit

Tap on it to be taken to the IRLToolkit auth login system
Login with your auth account, not your irl.run login

Once logged in, select an ingest from the list that the TVU Go app should stream into

Back at the TVU Go app destination list, verify that the IRLToolkit destination is enabled and shows your selected ingest.
Note the IRLToolkit icon now displayed at the center-top of the screen.

Stream platform chat integration

In order to add the chat widgets for Twitch, Kick or YouTube to your app, you will need to authenticate with the respective platforms in the destinations list.

Be careful not to enable a platform as a destination if you are using a stream server like IRLToolkit, as going live to the platform from the TVU Go app will prevent your stream server from connecting to that platform.

For example, in this image I have both my Twitch destination enabled, as well as my IRLToolkit. However, I want to use IRLToolkit to stream to my Twitch channel.
But if I go live from the TVU Go app in this state, I would be streaming direct to Twitch, preventing my IRLToolkit server from functioning properly.

Direct OBS SRT Push

The TVU Go app also provides a way to push directly to an OBS via SRT.
This can be used to stream to your own OBS at home, provided you have the proper network configuration.
And it can also be used as a way to manually connect to an IRLToolkit ingest without using the above integration.

Retrieve the SRT URL, port and streamID from your IRLToolkit dashboard.
Fill out the OBS fields in the TVU Go app (passphrase is left blank for IRLToolkit ingests), Save and then enable it as a destination in TVU Go.
