OBS Studio
Set up your desktop OBS
Copy RTMP Stream Key
Go to your irl.run Ingests settings page Select RTMP
and copy the Stream Key
Info:
Generally speaking, as long as your internet connection is good enough, RTMP is lower latency and recommended for desktop OBS streams.
However, poor network conditions, bad regional routing or other conditions may cause even desktop streams to be glitchy, in which case using the SRT ingest may alleviate the problems.
Open OBS Settings
Select IRLToolkit Service and Paste Stream Key
Attention:
To add as an SRT ingest instead:
- Set Service to
Custom ...
- Paste in the
SRT Full URL
from the irl.run Ingests settings page in the Server line - Leave stream key blank
Info:
By default, the SRT ingest operates with 400ms of latency.
If high RTT artifacting occurs append &latency=1000000
to the end of the SRT Full URL.
If it continues to artifact or your RTT is higher than 300ms, try bumping it to 1500000 or 2000000 (microseconds)
